Renowned Photographer Kevin Dooley Hosts Alaskan Brown Bear Photo Workshops - Oldies 97.7 FM

Alaska has been a place of both dreams and adventures for Kevin for many years. His bear photo safaris held at Alaska Trophy Adventures Lodge are both exciting and informative. In addition to photography, guests will also have opportunities for fly-fishing on some of the best salmon and trout water in the world.

Kevin’s photos have been published by National Geographic, The Daily Mail, and Africa Geographic. Kevin has Represented the USA in the nature category of the photographic world cup. Kevin has been commissioned into the Professional Photographers of America loan collection. Kevin has taken best-of-show and won the wildlife category of the New Mexico State Fair for five consecutive years.

Kevin Dooley is an award-winning wildlife, wedding, and portrait photographer who grew up in Placitas, New Mexico. Interest in photography began at an early age of 14 with the Christmas gift of a 35mm camera. Working as an assistant photographer and darkroom technician in his father’s portrait studio was the beginning of a lifetime career in photography. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the US Navy and served on an aircraft carrier. After completing his service he returned to New Mexico and opened his own photography studio in Albuquerque. During the 37 years the Studio has been in operation it has received numerous awards. His passion for wildlife photography and for Alaska and Africa led to his safari adventures, and he eventually opened Idube Photo Safaris. Kevin is a certified FGASA (Field Guide Association of South Africa), wildlife guide and takes guests from all over the world on amazing photographic and sightseeing safaris in Africa, Alaska, India, South America, and other destinations. He teaches both wildlife photography and portraiture photography workshops, helping both the advanced and beginner photographer.

Kevin has lead photo safaris to Alaska, South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. Specializing in small groups and private photo safaris. Kevin creates a special touch of personal attention for each guest. His love for adventure is ever present, and his enthusiasm and excitement for the wild places of Alaska are felt and shared with his guests.
