At Arrow Dental, the exciting process of refreshing a patient’s smile begins with a consultation and dental exam with Dr. Jamie Marquez. She and her staff work closely with each patient to develop a custom treatment plan that affordably meets their goals. Fillings and whitening treatments aren’t always the best treatment choice for patients with teeth that are chipped, unevenly spaced, worn down, stained, oddly shaped, or slightly misaligned.

In those cases, dental veneers provide an affordable, noninvasive way to correct cosmetic dental imperfections while restoring a person’s radiant smile and their confidence.

Dental veneers are a thin shell of stain-resistant porcelain that bonds to the front of the teeth, reflecting light just like natural teeth to reveal a gleaming smile. Because veneers are custom-made for each patient, possibilities regarding shape, color, size, and length are limitless.

After the treatment plan is solidified, Dr. Marquez removes a small amount of enamel from the front of the tooth to ensure a perfect fit for the veneer. If needed, local anesthesia can be used during this process.

Next, an imprint of the tooth is taken and sent to an outside lab where the veneer is created. Before the dental veneers get permanently bonded to the teeth, they are positioned and trimmed for a precise fit. During a brief follow-up visit, Dr. Marquez ensures the patient’s gums are adjusting to the veneers and that all is well.

Dental veneers typically last between seven and 15 years with proper care, which is the same as caring for natural teeth – brushing and flossing daily and using fluoride rinses as recommended. Dr. Marquez thoroughly covers dental veneer aftercare with every patient. The cost of dental veneers ranges from $1,000 to $2,000 per tooth, making them more affordable than dental crowns.

Dr. Jamie Marquez is a Westminster native who has happily served her fellow Coloradans as a solo practitioner since 2017. She began her career as a dental assistant working with the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless. Her work there inspired Dr. Marquez to continue her education and become a dentist. After completing dental school, she applied her skills at offices around the country before deciding to return to Westminster to open Arrow Dental. There, Dr. Marquez specializes in cosmetic dentistry, general dentistry, and Invisalign. She continues to passionately give back to her community through a variety of outreach programs and to Jamaican citizens via the 1000 Smiles Project.
