Direct Components Inc. Makes 2019 Inc. 5000 List
Direct Components Inc. ranks in multiple categories on the 2019 Inc. 5000 list. Maintaining its leadership role in the Tampa Bay business community, Direct Components Inc. receives recognition from prestigious global business magazine. The leadership team at Direct Components Inc. proudly announced that the company made the Inc. 5000 list again this year. “We ranked No. 1,671 among all businesses in the country,” said a company spokesperson. “For the top computer hardware companies category, we ranked No. 13, and we earned the No. 37 spot for the top companies in Tampa.”
This news came just a month after DCI was recognized for being one of the top 10 fastest-growing companies in Tampa Bay by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The local magazine publishes a Fast 50 list every year to recognize the area’s strongest companies. Last year, DCI saw exponential growth. As CEO Aaron Nursey often does in interviews that follow the company receiving awards, he credited his staff for earning these awards. He often speaks about his dedicated workers, their contributions to the company’s growth and his appreciation for their hard work. “Receiving this award while planning our expansion into almost 11,0000 sq ft of new space in 2020, really solidifies our strength in the industry ,” noted COO Sunshine Hubbard.
Nursey and his team hope to make the Inc. 5000 list again next year. The list honors businesses of all sizes. To qualify for a spot on the list, a business must be based in the United States. It must be privately held, and the company cannot be a subsidiary of another business. During the year of application, the company must have been in business for at least four years and must have been earning revenue during that time. Each year, there are revenue guidelines that applicants must meet. For 2019, candidates had to have at least $100,000 in annual revenue in 2015 and at least $2 million in 2018. Inc. encourages businesses that have grown considerably during the past few years to apply. Since the magazine has a global reach, a spot on the distinguished list helps Direct Components Inc. and other winners receive worldwide recognition.
